In the local market, the last recorded trade on Sunday (in the closed market) was at PKR 363,000 per tola in Karachi. There's a buzz in the air—many in the market are carrying a strong bullish sentiment, expecting upward movement soon.

Globally, the weekend brought no major headlines, as markets enjoyed a two-day break. However, some updates around Russia, China, India, and the US did surface.

Tensions between Russia and the US are intensifying. Whether we call it diplomacy or threats, Russia is clearly not in the mood to comply with any pressure from the US.

Meanwhile, China stands firmly with Russia and is reportedly preparing for something even more significant—a possible move toward Taiwan. So while Russia is locked with Ukraine, China is eyeing Taiwan—a dual geopolitical front.

As for India, they have outright rejected Trump’s request to stop buying oil from Russia, stating that they will continue purchasing from Russia regardless of US pressure.
