آج نیا مہینہ یکم اگست آپ سب کو خوش آمدید کہتا ہوں۔

بات کرتے ہیں کچھ خبر اخبار کی۔

جیسا کی آپ سب جانتے ہیں آج یکم اگست ہے۔ ٹرمپ کا وہ خاص دن جب ٹیرف عائد ہونے جا رہے ہیں اور ہمارا پڑوسی ملک بھارت بھی شامل ہے البتہ ابھی امریکہ میں صبح نہیں ہوئی چونکہ وہ ہم سے 9 گھنٹے پیچھے چلتے ہیں۔

آج کی تاریخ کے علاوہ 8 اگست بھی اہم تاریخ ہے چونکہ ٹرمپ کا کہنا ہے کہ 8 اگست سے پہلے پہلے روس اور یوکرین کی جنگ ختم ہوگی کیونکہ ٹرمپ نے روس کا بندوبست کیا ہوا ہے۔ اس سے پہلے ٹرمپ نے ٹیرف اور دیگر جرمانے عائد کرنے کی دھمکی کے ساتھ روس کو 50 دن دیئے تھے مگر تب بھی روس نے کوئی جواب نہ دیا اور نا ہی ابھی تک کوئی جواب دیا ہے۔

لگتا نہیں ہے کی روس امریکہ کی بات مانے گا چونکہ روس کا خون ایسا نہیں کہ وہ دو منہ لوگوں سے ہاتھ ملائے اور یہ بات اس لیے ہے کہ امریکہ نے روس کے خلاف یوکرین کی مدد کی روس کو اعتماد میں لے کر اور اعتماد توڑ ڈالا۔

دوسری جانب چائنہ کو جب کہا گیا کہ روس سے تیل لینا چھوڑ دو ورنہ چائنہ پر بھی ٹیرف لگا دیئے جائیں گے تو چائنہ نے بہادری کے ساتھ اپنےدوست روس کے ساتھ کھڑے ہوتے کہا کہ وہ روس سے ہی تیل کی تجارت کریں گے۔

ایک اور واضح بات یہاں پر یہ ہے کہ چائنہ، روس اور یورپی ممالک یہ سب امریکی ڈالر کے بغیر تجارت کر رہے ہیں اور ٹرمپ کا کہنا ہے یہ خطرناک بات ہے اور یہ واقعی خطرناک بات ہے چونکہ اس طرح تو ڈالر تباہ ہو جائے گا۔

پھر آپ کے اور ہمارے پیارے ٹرمپ نے دوائی بنانے والی کمپنیوں کو حکم دیا کہ 60 دن کے اندر دوائیوں کی قیمتوں میں کمی لائی جائے ورنہ یہاں بھی ٹیرف کا سوچیں گے۔

ساتھ ہی کل یہ خبر بھی سامنے آئی کہ ٹرمپ نے پاکستان کے ساتھ معاہدہ کیا کہ امریکہ پاکستان مل کر پاکستان سے تیل کے ذخائر کو ترقی دینے میں مدد کریں گے اور اس مدد میں امداد ڈالنے کے لئے چائنہ نے بھی ہاں کی ہے۔

ایک اور اہم خبر یہ تھی کہ ٹرمپ نے روس اور انڈیا سے ناراضگی کا اظہار کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ یہ دونوں ممالک کی معیشت خراب ہے اور یہ خراب معیشت ان کو لے ڈوبے گی اور ٹرمپ یہ دیکھنا چاہتے ہیں۔

یورپ اور امریکہ کی جو ڈیل ہوئی تھی وہ در اصل ڈیل ہوئی ہی نہیں تھی۔ یورپی پارلیمنٹ نے اس کا انکار کردیا البتہ ٹرمپ کا کہنا ہے یورپ یکم اگست سے ٹیرف دے گا جب تک کوئی ڈیل نہیں ہو جاتی۔

ٹرمپ نے کینیڈا کے ساتھ ہوئی ڈیل کو خراب کر دیا یہ کہتے ہوئے کہ کینیڈا فلسطین کو تسلیم کر رہا ہے اور یہ اچھا نہیں ہے۔ ایک بات یاد دلاتا چلوں کچھ عرصہ پہلے ٹرمپ نے خود کہا تھا کہ وہ فلسطین کو تسلیم کرنا چاہتے ہیں اب کہاں ہیں وہ باتیں؟

Shifting to the local gold market, prices remained relatively stable throughout the past week. The last recorded trade in Gold Rate Karachi was around PKR 359,000 per tola. It's worth addressing a common misconception: while some claim trades are being done at PKR 358,000, that rate often isn’t available in real deals. Overall, the local market remained mixed, showing signs of gradual weakness. Let’s see how things unfold today.

Headlines from Around the World

As many of you know, today—August 1st—is a crucial date. Former President Donald Trump’s tariffs are expected to go into effect, with India also included in the list. However, the US day hasn’t begun yet, as they’re 9 hours behind Pakistan.

Looking ahead, August 8th is another important date. Trump has claimed that the Russia-Ukraine war will end before then, asserting that he has a plan in place for Russia. Previously, he issued a 50-day warning to Russia, threatening tariffs and penalties, but Russia has not responded, then or now.

It doesn’t appear that Russia will comply. Russia’s stance has always been bold, and their distrust of the US is deep-rooted, especially after the US supported Ukraine while pretending to be neutral.

Meanwhile, China was warned to stop buying oil from Russia or face tariffs itself. But China stood firm, saying it would continue its trade with Russia, emphasizing its loyalty and partnership with Moscow.

Another significant development: Russia, China, and several European countries have begun trading without using the US dollar. Trump called this a dangerous trend—and rightly so. Such a shift could seriously undermine the dominance of the dollar.

In response, Trump ordered pharmaceutical companies to reduce drug prices within 60 days, or face the possibility of new tariffs.

Additionally, news broke yesterday of a new US-Pakistan agreement. The two countries will collaborate to develop Pakistan’s oil reserves, and China has also expressed support in contributing to this initiative.

In another bold statement, Trump criticized Russia and India, calling their economies weak and warning that their economic downfall is imminent—something he appears eager to witness.

As for the much-discussed US-Europe trade deal, it turns out no official agreement was reached. The European Parliament has denied any finalized deal, although Trump insists tariffs on Europe will begin from August 1st, unless a resolution is made.

Lastly, Trump scrapped a trade deal with Canada, citing concerns over Canada’s recognition of Palestine. Ironically, Trump himself had previously expressed support for Palestine. What changed?
